mindysgray asked:
Hi there.
I studied Psychology as an undergrad, and will be graduating next semester.
I’d like to be a school Psychologist.
Would this be possible without obtaining my PhD? I’d like to begin graduate school to get my Master’s degree in January, and I am going to start applying to graduate schools before October.
Is it possible for me to become a practicing school psychologist without a PhD?
Also, I’d like to study in Australia & go to grad school there (particularly U of Melbourne). If I get my Master’s degree there, is this similar to a degree here in the US? Can I use my degree here, too, if I ever would like to practice in the United States?
I really appreciate all answers!
Thank you!
Well, actually, I’d like to move to Australia, so that was why I had been planning to go to grad school there - my boyfriend lives there and so I’d like to go to school there.
In fact, I’ve worked with children for my entire life and have always made them a priority. I’ve studied abroad as well, so it’s safe to say I’ve “gotten that out of my system.”
I appreciate your response; however, I don’t think you know enough about me to suggest there is anything that I need to deal with… it has nothing to do with my question.
